The Sasa Bridge, also known as the Davao-Samal Bridge, is a significant infrastructure project aimed at connecting Davao City with Samal Island. Officially known as the Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC), this 3.98-kilometer bridge project was launched on October 27, 2022, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the groundbreaking ceremony. 

Design analysis

In order to strengthen the bridge the consultant finally confirm to use the carbon fiber fabric to stick at L/4 and part of bottom slab
